    1. We peeled it & cut it into 2. It has a fresh cucumber taste & it looks ike a cucumber on the inside. It smells after lemon but it doesn’t taste like it.

    1. Good-King-Henry plant is an old plant. You can use the leaves & stalks. The leaves you can prepare just like spinach. It has a milder flavour but at the end it taste a bit sharp. Just like red orach but a bit different. This is a species of goosefoot which is native to much of central and southern Europe. It is an annual plant.

Cropping can begin in spring. Some of the new shoots can be cut as they appear (usually from mid spring to early summer) and cooked like asparagus. All cutting should then cease so that shoots are allowed to develop. The succulent triangular leaves may be harvested a few at a time until the end of August and cooked like spinach.

  1. I loved your cool video & apart music too! What a great harvest with many veggies & fruits!

  2. This is so cool!! What are you going to use the red currants for!? I have never seen a lemon cucumber before…what is it like!?

    1. It smells of a lemon but you must peel the outer thougher peel & eat it, cut open. It is like a fresher inside of a cucumber. It doesn’t taste of lemon though,…but Yummy!
