I wanted to give you a few of my favorite shops in Brussels.
1. A.M. Sweet, Kartuizersstraat 4, 1000 Brussels
This is a lovely, tiny ” sweet ” shop in my neighbourhood. They sell different sort of sweets, chocolates, teas, coffees, sugars , jams & sweets.
Daily, except on Sundays, the owner makes home – made cakes & pies. You can buy them to taste at home or you can enjoy them with a lovely brewed coffee or nip from a special tea or hot chocolate in the tiny tea shop.
2. International Home of Cooking, Leopoldstraat 3, 1000 Brussels
This is a shop definitely for foodies! They sell all sorts of foodies treats! Like : various sorts of cooking knives, like Zwilling,Wüsthof & Dok. They sell silicon baking mats, silicon baking materials, chopping boards, various pots & pans, like copper pots. They sell a selection of cookery books.They also sell the larger stuff like: Kitchen Aids, Magi mixers, Smeg & Boretti stoves,…
Open? Tuesday till Saturday from 10 am til 18:30 pm.

3. Champigros, Melsenstraat 22, 1000 Brussels
Beginning 2009, they are moving to a new address: Sint – Katelijnestraat 36, 1000 Brussels
All year round, you can buy fresh mushrooms from this tiny shop. They also deliver to various famous restaurants in Brussels & beyond! You can buy different mushrooms like, Girolles, Enoki, Boletes, Cantherelles, etc. They sell about 6 to 12 different sorts of mushrooms. In season, they sell the wonderful Truffles!
This shop dates back to the 1950’s!
Twice a week, the owner goes to the early markets in Rungis, near Paris.
The owner has a lot of good mushroom wisdom to share with his customers!
